Description
Calamity Basin Habitat Treatment - Solicitation AG-82X9-S-11-0143 The Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forests, Grand Valley Ranger District has a requirement designed to remove by masticating, cutting, grinding or shredding, the understory beneath previously managed Ponderosa Pine stands over approximately 201 acres. The understory is mainly a mix of intermountain brush species including oak, serviceberry, chokecherry and other associated brush species. There are light pockets of advanced regeneration that will be designated for treatment and may require the use of hand methods to accomplish the task. There are light pockets of slash from previous sale activities which also will be treated. The entirety of the project is within a Travel Restricted area limiting travel of equipment and service vehicles. Work shall occur in Mesa County in Colorado. This solicitation is set-aside for Small Businesses. Price Range is between $25,000 and $100,000. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 115310 with a size standard of $33.5M. MANDATORY SITE VISIT - Offerors who fail to attend will not be considered. Currently scheduled for 02 August 2011 @ 1000 Mt at the Site. Note: Site Visit date & time subject to change (see solicitation). Directions: From Grand Junction, access HWY. 6/50 proceeding east toward Delta, Colorado. Approximately 1/2 mile southeast of Whitewater, turn right onto State HWY. 141. Proceed approximately 35 miles to the intersection of HWY. 141 and 6.3 Road (marked with a green street sign). Turn left off of HWY. 141 and proceed across the bridge on 6.3 RD. Continue up 6.3 Road for approximately 5.5 miles until the Forest boundary is reached and 6.3 RD becomes FS405. Proceed approximately 1.3 miles to the intersection with FS 405.2A. Travel approximately.75 miles to 405.2B to Trail 2608. This trail is barricaded. The barricade will be removed for project implementation. The three units making up the project are to the southwest of 608 and are flagged. Solicitation will be available for download from FedBizOpps website at http://www.fbo.gov on or about 25 July 2011. The solicitation will be available for free download at www.fbo.gov. Interested bidders are responsible for monitoring this site for release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information and for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package and any amendments. All Offerors must be actively registered to the Central Contractor's Registry (CCR) in accordance to FAR 52.204-7 or their proposal will not be considered. All Offerors must be registered in ORCA in accordance to FAR 52.204-8 to be considered responsive. All prospective bidders must have a Commercial and Government Entity Code (CAGE Code) and be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Contractors can obtain further information on the CCR website at http://www.ccr.gov. All Offerors must respond to all evaluation criteria in Section M of the solicitation to be considered responsive to this solicitation. Offerors to fail to meet the criteria will not be considered in the Technical Evaluation of offers.
