- Description
- The project work consists of S-12D Structure with six spillway gates with operating equipment at least 40 years old. Work at the structure includes replacement of LPG fired, engine driven, gate operating mechanisms with electric motor driven gate operating mechanisms, installation of various electrical and telecommunications hardware to support remote operation of the spillway, construction of a precast concrete control building, and installation of commercial power. The Magnitude of Construction is between $1 Million and $4 Million. THIS IS A Section 8 (a) COMPETITIVE ACQUISITION. The geographic area of competition is restricted to 8(a) certified firms in the State of Florida. All firms must have an Small Business Administration bona fide office in the State of Florida. All other firms are deemed ineligible to submit offers. The solicitation will be issued on or about 25 July 2011 with bids due on or about 25 August 2011. Solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be posted on the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) website at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/. In order to receive notification of any amendments to this solicitation, interested vendors must REGISTER AS AN INTERESTED VENDOR on the Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/.
