Description
The Southern Region Contracting Office - West (Provisional), on or about, 1 August 2011 intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Fresenius Kabi, LLC for the purchase of Compomat G4 & Compomaster Net blood component processing system in support of the Roberts Blood Center located at Carl R. Darnell Army Medical Center, Ft. Hood, TX. This notice is neither a request for quotes nor a solicitation of offers; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Salient Characteristics: - Automatically separate and seal off blood component products, such as red blood cells, plasma, platelets from whole blood. - Automatically transport additive solution to red blood cells, be independent of blood bag type, manufacturer - Be adaptable for all common preparation methods - Automatically document the preparation process in terms of cGMP - Be of the same make/model currently in use at other Army Blood Donor Centers for standardization purposes. - Must have an average separation time of Whole Blood to RBCs and Plasma is 1.5 to 2 minutes. - Processes (separate, seal and weigh) up to 25,000 units per year. - Allows for the storage of data collected during blood component preparation. - Bar code scanner must increase efficiency by keeping track of unit numbers for further Quality Control record keeping, as required by the FDA. - Compressed air supply 6 bar Electrical supply; 230/240 V AC, 50/60 Hz 100/120 V AC, 50/60 Hz. - Multi functional heads: for clamping and sealing. - Top press for quick pressing: For Top & Top systems and specific processes, optionally removal of air bubble in plasma bag possible. - Balance: Automatic documentation of plasma and platelet weights. - Allows for preparation of all common blood bag systems. - Automatic documentation of process data and bi-directional interface - Top press for quick pressing: for Top & Top systems and specific processes, optionally removal of air bubble in plasma bag possible.
