- ***** PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE. Project Number YTPM 05-3002 Repair Runway 15/33. Project is located at Westover Air Reserve Base, Massachusetts. This project is being solicited as a Full and Open Competitive notice. The business size standard applicable to this project is $33,500,000.00 and the NAICS (North American Industrial Classification System) (NAICS) code is 237310. Bid acceptance period through 30 September 2011. The specified Performance Period is: 540 calendar days. All work must be completed prior to 23 March 2013. The contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. In accordance with the provisions of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) 36.213.02, it is requested that a Pre-Solicitation Notice be issued for the subject project which is expected to exceed $10,000,000,00. Project Description: The work of the Project YTPM 05-3002, Repair Runway 15/33 consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, materials and all miscellaneous services required to accomplish the following work and as indicated on the drawings and specifications including, but not limited to the following: Mill and overlay the entire length of Runway 15/33. At the runway intersection and above the storm drain at the Runway 33 end, replace the base and sub base and rebuild the full depth of pavement. Replace drainage structures and partial replacement of the runway lighting system. Grade the areas surrounding the pavement to ensure proper drainage. Place pavement markings and restore disturbed areas. Provide new paved & unpaved shoulders as per plans and specifications. All work is depicted in the plans and in the specifications. The solicitation including the bid package, wage rates, specifications and drawings will be posted at Federal Business Opportunities, (FBO) htts://www.fbo.gov/ this site for review and download. There will be no other form of distribution for this solicitation other than downloading the information from this site. Hard copies of the solicitation will be available for examination at the 439 CONF/LGC office, 250 Airlift Drive, Westover Air Reserve Base, Chicopee, MA 01022-1507. Solicitation will be issued on or about 29 July 2011, bid opening date on or about 29 August 2011. The work called for in this contract requires extensive scheduling and coordination because of the daily airfield operations. Project drawings indicate basic painting requirements for this project. Contractor is to bid the quantities of materials as indicated in the Statement of Work.
