- The U.S. Census Bureau intends to procure lodging in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Lodging is required for 38 participants for the Census Advisory Committee on Race and Ethnic Populations Meeting (meeting will be held at the Census Bureau)on the following dates: • Tuesday, October 4, 2011 - 35 sleeping rooms on Government Purchase Order • Wednesday, October 5, 2011 - 35 sleeping rooms on Government Purchase Order • Thursday, October 6, 2011 - 35 sleeping rooms on Government Purchase Order • Friday, October 7, 2011 - 10 sleeping rooms on Government Purchase Order The accommodations must have the following: • Metro Accessibility (within one block of the metro station) • Full Service Restaurant The U.S. Census Bureau reserves the right to conduct an on-site inspection of offered facilities. Award will be made on a best value basis in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Lodging rate must be equal to or less than Government per diem rate. All responsible sources that can meet the requirements and provide items as listed above may respond to this solicitation by submitting cost and technical proposal, hotel contract, and descriptive literature to Lisa Safewright via email to lisa.r.safewright@census.gov or fax to 301 763-4624. Award will be made by Government Purchase Order. Closing date for receipt of proposals is 3pm Wednesday, July 20, 2011.
