- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a Cost Plus fixed Fee (CPFF) delivery order under NAVAIR BOA N00019-09-G-0013 to Alliant Techsystems Inc., Clearwater, FL for field engineering services (FES) to be provided to the United States Air Force in support of the AAR-47 Program. The services to be performed include but are not limited to: field and factory test support, software development, requests for documentation, problem investigation, feasibility studies, performance analysis, test hardware, installation and checkout support, Software Support Activity (SSA) equipment and support, and general support related to AAR-47 products or hardware. This action is being awarded on a sole source basis to Alliant Techsystems Inc., Clearwater, FL. As the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the AAR-47 Missile Warning System (MWS), Alliant Techsystems Inc. is the only qualified source which possesses the requisite knowledge required to perform this requirement in a timely and cost effective manner. The authority permitting other than full and open competition is Title 10, U.S. Code 2304(c) (1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, "only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." This notice of intent is neither a request for proposals nor a solicitation of offers. This effort will not be performed under the provisions of FAR part 12.
