- Norfolk Ship Support Activity, PO Box 215, Portsmouth, VA, 23705-0215, is seeking to identify potential Small Business (SB) sources to accomplish miscellaneous structural, mechanical, and electrical repairs, including dry-docking, on the USS TEMPEST (PC-2). Work will be performed at a Contractor Facility and an Agreement for Boat Repair (ABR) is required. The place of performance is restricted to the homeport. NAICS code 336611 applies, with a size standard of 1,000 employees. Potential sources are notified that the Limitations on Subcontracting clause (52.219-14) will be included in any RFP set aside for small business concerns. Only interested parties who intend to submit a proposal on upcoming PC availabilities should submit a written expression of interest to the address stated below not later than July 14, 2011. NOTE: If your firm intends to submit a proposal on either the SQUALL and/or THUNDERBOLT, in addition to the TEMPEST, please indicate your firm ™s capacity in terms of manpower resources and facilities to accommodate multiple PCs which may require simultaneous docking. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor does its issuance restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach.
