- REVISED DATES INCLUDED IN THIS SYNOPSIS. THE DATES INCLUDED IN THIS ANNOUNCEMENT ARE APPROXIMATE AND ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGES AT THE DISCRETION OF THE BUREAU OF RECLAMATION. THE ACTUAL DATES WILL BE ESTABLISHED AT THE TIME THE BID DOCUMENT IS MADE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC AT www.FBO.gov or AT Http://ideasec.nbc.gov/j2ee/solicitationdetail.jsp. PLEASE, READ THE ENTIRE SYNOPSIS FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THE DESCRIPTION. The Bureau of Reclamation has a requirement to replace and modernize the elevator at Canyon Ferry Dam, Montana. The work consists of: 1) Remove, dispose, and replace existing elevator equipment including hoistway conductors, traveling cable, electrical conduit, elevator controller, geared traction machine, hoist ropes, cab and cab doors, car operating panel, top-of-car operating station, door operator, overspeed safety device, car platform, cab finish flooring, hoistway limit switches, interlocks, pit switch, governor rope, hoistway doors, and hall call stations. 2) Modify machine room roof by cutting and removing a section of concrete and furnishing and installing steel roof hatch. 3) Test elevator system. 4) Perform operation and maintenance training. The work is located at Canyon Ferry Dam, approximately 17 miles east of Helena, Montana, in Lewis and Clark County.The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238290. The Small Business Size Standard is $14.0 million. The range of the project is $500,000 to $1,000,000. This procurement is issued full and open completion, negotiated (Request for Proposal) under FAR Part 15. Evaluation factors are, but not limited to: Company's Past Performance, Company's Experience, and Company's Key Personnel. Proposal will be accepted from responsive and responsible contractors that can demonstrate successful past performance and experience in elevators replacement and modernization within the last 5 years as a prime contractor. The electronic copy of the solicitation is anticipated to be issued on or around 9/30/2011. Bids are anticipated to be due on or around 10/30/2011. An organized site visit is planned to be offered. The information about the site visit date, time and location will be included in the Foreword page of the electronic solicitation. Prospective contractors shall have an active registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database in order to receive an award of any Federal Government contracts.
