Description
The work includes, but is not limited to: ITEM 1 - SCOPE OF WORK, Replace or Repair Doors, Power Service Building, 2nd Floor Automation Wing, & Control Room Power Service Building: Retrofit 2 single metal, extra heavy-duty, exit doors with narrow windows (#109 & #110). Relocate signage on doors appropriately.Replace 7 (3 single and 2 pairs) metal, extra heavy-duty, exit doors and hinges with new insulated metal doors with narrow windows. Replace 2 double door frames with transoms. Install insulated, metal panels in 2 transoms. Paint doors and frames to match existing. Re-hang existing signage. Second floor Automation Wing:Replace 1 solid metal exit door and hardware with new metal door with window and restore a second door, by repainting and replacing hardware, weather-stripping and threshold. Re-hang existing signage. Control Room:Replace 3 pairs of metal fire doors with tempered glass narrow lites in Control Room. Include new hardware, electric strikes, hinges, and kick plates. Provide automatic opener/closer for handicap accessibility. Johnson Controls is to reprogram card reader, so that opener functions when activated by access cards. ITEM 2 - SCOPE OF WORK, Refurbish Rooms 1060 & 1064, Automation Wing In both rooms, remove and replace existing ceiling tiles. Also paint walls, ceiling grid and door and replace lighting. In Room 1060 only, replace carpet tiles. In Room 1064 only, replace exposed asbestos containing vinyl tiles. Remove existing lighting fixtures, light switches, receptacles, and branch circuits. Install new lighting fixtures, light switches, receptacles, and branch circuits. Add a sink. Room 1064 will be used as a Mother's Room. ITEM 3 - SCOPE OF WORK, Vinyl Floor Tile and Exhaust Duct Insulation Removal & Replacement, Power Service Building/Generator RoomRemove and dispose of: (a) Approximately 1750 square feet of vinyl asbestos floor tiles, and (b) Insulation (Not ACM) on the exhaust piping of four generators. Install: (a) Approximately 1,750 square feet of epoxy flooring. Contractor shall prepare concrete floor to install the epoxy flooring system according to the specifications and the manufacturer's instructions, and (b) Two (2) inches of calcium silicate exhaust pipe insulation. Estimated Price Range: $100,000 to $200,000; Estimated Performance Time: 60 calendar days; NAICS Code: 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction (small business size standard is $33.5 million average annual receipts over the past 3 fiscal years).
