- This is a sources sought notice only, no solicitation is being issued at this time. The anticipated procurment is for construction services to upgrade the mechanical systems in four (4) military family housing four-plex apartment buildings. The heating and domestic hot water systems and their controls will be replaced with new, more energy efficient systems that are compatible with the Coast Guard Base Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems. Steam is the primary heating source and steam-to-hot water heat exchange systems, associated condensate return equipment, heating and hot water circulation pumps are required. Minor electrical work to connect all new electrically operated equipment to the existing panel will also be required. The interior of the apartment units, including the existing heating units, convectors and plumbing will not be affected. All construction will take place within the mechanical rooms located in the common area of the basements. Minor interior rehabilitation within the mechanical rooms will include patching and painting walls, concrete housekeeping pads for the floor mounted equipment. The anticipated construction range is $500,000 to $1 million. Interested Contractors should respond by Registering ON the Interested Vendor List for this procurement. This notice is issued for the purpose of market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10.
