- The anticipated solicitation release date remains July 15, 2011. The purpose of this notice of July 6, 2011, is to advise prospective offerors of a pre-bid conference planned for August 4, 2011. This notice will appear in the solicitation, but it provided earlier here for the convenience of prospective offerors. NOTICE OF PRE-BID CONFERENCE (a) The Government is planning a pre-bid conference, during which prospective offerors may obtain a better understanding of the work required. ( b) Prospective offerors are encouraged to submit all questions in writing at least ten (10) days prior to the conference, by fax to 907.228.6254 Attn: AG-0116-S-11-0043 FH43 Road Improvements. Questions will be considered at any time prior to or during the conference; however, the contracting officer may require some questions to be submitted in writing. Subsequent to the conference, an abstract of the questions and answers and a list of attendees will be posted on the FedBizOpps website for the benefit of prospective offerors not attending the conference. (c) In order to facilitate conference preparations, prospective attendees should submit a note on company letterhead indicating their intent to attend the conference and providing their names, addresses, and fax numbers at least ten (10) days before the conference, by fax to 907.228.6254 Attn: AG-0116-S-11-000043 FH43 Road Improvements. (d) The Government assumes no responsibility for any expense incurred by an offeror prior to contract award. (e) Offerors are cautioned that, notwithstanding any remarks or clarifications given at the conference, all terms and conditions of the solicitation remain unchanged unless they are changed by amendment to the solicitation. If the answers to conference questions, or any solicitation amendment, create ambiguities, it is the responsibility of the offeror to seek clarification prior to submitting an offer. (f) A hosted site visit to the work site is not planned, but prospective bidders are expected to visit the work site at their convenience. (g) The conference will be held: Date: Thursday, August 4, 2011 Time: 10:00 am Location: Ketchikan Federal Building, 648 Mission Street, Ketchikan, Alaska, in the first-floor Forest Service Conference Room (the location is subject to c hange, depending on the number of planned attendees—if so, the Forest Service will notify planned attendees of the change) (h) Because of uncertainties in location, telephone or other electronic participation cannot be arranged.
