- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) intends to solicit proposals for Blood and Blood Components for the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System, Little Rock, Arkansas. A Statement of Work (SOW) will be included in the solicitation. The Request for Proposal number is VA-256-11-RQ-0491. The solicitation will result in the award of a single contract. The resulting contract will be a firm fixed-price contract. The applicable NAICS code is 621991, Blood Banks, and the small business size standard is $10 Million. This procurement is Unrestricted (both large and small businesses may provide quotations.) The award will be made using commercial item procedures in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 12 and 15. The intended contract period is a base year plus four (4) one-year options. Telephonic and email requests for the solicitation will not be honored. When issued, the solicitation will be available via the FedBizOpps website, http://www.fbo.gov/. The tentative solicitation issue date is July 6, 2011 and the anticipated closing date is August 3, 2011. Interested offerors are advised to consult the actual solicitation for final dates and times.
