- THIS ACQUISTION WILL BE A SOLE SOURCE REQUIREMENT TO GENERAL DYNAMICS ARMAMENT DIVISION. This requirement is for: NSN 4920-01-061-0343GG, P/N: 132D1771. Noun: Aircraft Maintenance Fixture. This requirement is for a firm-fixed price contract with a basic quantity of 3 EA and 4 Option years with a quantity of 1-3 EA. The fixtures are used to check a continuous belt of conveyor elements and identify those elements that are functionally acceptable as well as identifying those elements that have been deformed. General dimensions of the item: 4" Width x 8" Length x 8" Depth, approximate weight 3 lbs. Predominant material of manufacture is Stainless Steel. Required Delivery is Aug 2011 or as stated in the solicitation. No technical data is available to be furnished with the solicitation. This acquisition will be sole source to General Dynamics (CAGE Code 05606) under the Authority 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), FAR 6.302-1. Supplies or services required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible sources and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency needs. All interested responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in FAR Part 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Items) in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. The RFP will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities webpage ( http://www.fbo.gov/ ). NO HARD COPIES WILL BE PROVIDED. All questions regarding the RFP must be submitted in writing to Valerie.Clark@robins.af.mil. NO TELEPHONIC QUESTIONS. OMBUDSMAN : All potential offeror(s) should contact the buyer and/or PCO identified above for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. If the contracting officer does not satisfy your concerns, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern.
