- Description
- The US Forest Service on the Savannah River Site has a requirement for clearing and grubbing at the Mixed Waste Management Facility. Savannah River Site is located approximately 20 miles east of Aiken, South Carolina. The performance period is 45 calendar days. The magnitude of the project is $100,000 and$250,000.A Bid bond is required. This project is a 100% small business set aside. The solicitation will be issued on or about July 15,2011. Savannah River site is a restricted access Government facility (Department of Energy) and vehicle searches are done on all vehicles entering the Site. No contraband items, such as guns, ammunition, drugs, etc. are allowed on Site. A picture ID of persons entering the Site is required. A site visit will be held. Information will be provided when the solicitation is posted to this website. A minimum of 72 hours is required to process any security badge requests for U.S. Citizens and up to 30 days could be required for non-U.S. citizens. Contractors should pay close attention to the deadlines to submit information required to gain access for site visit included in the solicitation. Offerors must register on this website in order to receive notification of changes to the solicitation. The offeror is responsible for monitoring this site for release of the solicitation and any subsequent postings. All interested parties must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration(CCR) as prescribed by FAR Clause 52.204-7 and ORCA. CCR can be obtained by accessing the Internet www.ccr.gov or by calling 1-888-227-2423. ORCA can be obtained by accessing the Internet, www.bpn.gov.
