- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to enter into sole source negotiations with Rockwell Collins, Inc., Richardson, Texas for spares and repair parts in support of the E-6B Mercury Block I LRIP contract N00019-10-C-0067. NAVAIR intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price contract for spares and repair parts associated with the Block I modification. This contract action will be issued on a sole-source basis to Rockwell Collins, Inc., the sole designer, developer, and producer of the modification kits. Unless otherwise stated herein, no formal request for proposal or additional written information is currently available. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is published for informative purposes (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). Rockwell Collins, Inc. is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the modification kits, and as such, is the only known source available with the requisite technical knowledge, experience, and technical data to produce the requirements described herein to satisfy the Government's requirement. Subcontracting opportunities should be sought directly from Rockwell Collins, Inc. at the following address: (a) Rockwell Collins, Inc.; 3200 East Renner Road; Richardson, TX 75082. IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR INTERESTED PARTIES: There are no commitments by the Government to issue any solicitations, make any award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of the contract mentioned above.
