- Description
- This contract action was not awarded as a fixed price type because uncertainties involved in contract performance did not permit costs to be estimated with sufficient accuracy to use any type of fixed price contract. As such, a cost-reimbursement type action was awarded (FAR 16.301-2). The objective of this proposal is to develop and integrate the output from phase 1 of both the Head Impact Protection Improvement and Head Gear ATO projects and mature the system to Technology Readiness Level 6 by Q4 2013. The outcome of this project will provide NSRDEC with an advanced head protection system ready for transition to manufacture and subsequent operational fielding.
