- This solicitation is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/ and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/ While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by NSWC Crane. NSWC Crane is issuing a Commercial Area Announcement (CAA) for informational purposes only as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having interest in and the resources to support fleet reliability and maintainability for the SLQ-32 program. A respondent to this market survey must have the available skills and facilities that are required to provide a quantity of Removable Hard Drives-BRAND NAME OR EQUAL TO- DISTEC 40000 removable hard drives. Estimated quantity is 200 for a lifetime build. Interested parties must confirm the removable hard drives support: Specific Emitter identification (SEI) processors the CP-2506 support for SLQ-32 program. The RHD is used in the SEI processor system to execute mission software. There are approximately 150 total CP-2506 systems installed in the fleet requiring replacement RHDs upon failure of the RHD component in the CP-2506. The government ™s market research is based on NMCARS Subpart 5212.90 and the result of the market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. THIS CAA IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES. No award will be made on the basis of quotes or offers received in response to this CAA. Interested parties shall understand that responses in any form are not quotes or offers. Further, issuance of the CAA does not impose any obligation on the Department of Navy or signify a firm commitment to issue a solicitation or a contract. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. There are no funds available to pay for the cost of preparing the responses. If your organization has the potential capacity to provide 200 Removable hard Drives (RHDs), please submit to the contracting office a brief capabilities statement (no more than 3 pages excluding the cover sheet) demonstrating ability to provide the requested items and quantities. This document shall address, as a minimum the following: (1)Provide the name and address of your company, primary point of contact, email address, web site address, telephone number, DUNS and CAGE code number. (2)Provide size category (large/small business, etc) and type of ownership for the organization, GSA, SEWP, and or CHESS Contract # Provide the following information as it pertains to the BRAND NAME OR EQUAL TO-Part Number DISTEC 40000 RHD.
