- INDUSTRY DAY - An Industry Day meeting for the Sea/Air Requirement will be held at Rockwell Hall, Bldg 1930 at Scott AFB, IL 62225, 13 July 2011. There will be a briefing on the contracting process and requirements in the morning from 8:00-10:00AM. Individual break-out sessions will be scheduled for twenty-thirty minutes each in the afternoon. Industry partners interested in this multi-modal acquisition are invited to attend. More information to include the Performance Work Statement, will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunity website in the near future. If you are interested in attending, you must supply the following information NLT 7 July 2011, 1:00PM CST: Business Name, Business Representatives (limited to 2 representatives per company), phone numbers and business titles. Information must be e-mailed to: krissy.hackstadt@ustranscom.mil and emily.tift@ustranscom.mil. We will provide information to access the base, directions, and individual session time frame to industry partners who have contacted us. Potential Requirements Include: The U.S. Government may require the movement of both DOD and commercial cargo via sealift then trans-shipment via airlift or via airlift then trans-shipment via sealift to/from multiple locations globally. The contractor is required to provide a secure cargo holding location at all trans-load locations to accommodate cargo being prepared to be airlifted. The contractor will provide all aircraft, personnel, equipment, tools, material, maintenance, supervision, ground transportation, unloading and loading capability of break-bulk, rolling stock, and containers for trans load operations, and deliver cargo to and from Afghanistan. The contractor will be required to coordinate all activities with the host nation to implement the requirements in this work statement to include duty-free customs clearance, transit and landing rights.
