- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Little Rock District, Corps of Engineers is requesting quotes to perform Tonnage Test and Inspection Services for a 20 Ton Gantry Crane and a 5 Ton Traveling Hoist located at Nimrod Dam, Nimrod Lake Project Office, Plainview, Arkansas. The work consists of determining the loads and breakaway tonnage of the 20 ton gantry crane with water flow. Breakaway tonnage is the load required to initially lift the emergency gate off the sill. The contractor shall perform a structural, mechanical, and electrical inspection, determine OSHA requirements, and provide a comprehensive report of the findings for the 20 ton gantry crane and 5 ton traveling hoist. This Request for Quote (RFQ) is restricted to small busniess and the designated NAICS code is 541330 with a size standard of $14.5 million annually and all provisions and clauses are incorporated in the attached documents. All bids will be mailed to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Contracting Division, Room 7315, 700 W Capitol Ave, Little Rock, Arkansas 72201 or Faxed to 501-324-5196. Electronic or Email quotes will not be accepted. Award will be based on the lowest price. All bidders must be CCR registered at http://www.ccr.gov prior to receiving an award. The complete specifications, drawings and applicable wage rates are provided under attached documents.
