- USCG, Surface Forces Logistics Center, LRE-C&PD2 in Oakland, CA, proposes to contract for Dockside repairs of CGC MELLON (WHEC 717), a 378' cutter, home moorage in Seattle, WA. The period of performance to accomplish this requirement is 15 August 2011 through 19 September 2011. Work may include, but is not limited to the following: Boiler exhaust stack uptakes commercial cleaning; insulation renewal engineering spaces; insulation renewal non-engineering spaces; evaporator salinity panel renewal and calibration. This will be a 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS code assigned to this procurement will be 336611 with a size standard of less than 1,000 employees. On or about 06 July 2011, a Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available electronically at http://www.fbo.gov. The solicitation will be issued in accordance with Part 12 and Part 15 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. Only one award will be made to the responsible offeror whose proposal, conforming to the solicitation, is determined to be the best value to the Government The solicitation, specifications and other pertinent information will be posted at www.fbo.gov. In order to open and download the specifications offerors must be registered at www.fbo.gov. Offerors are encouraged to register immediately as authorization to access the documents may take up to 48 hours from the time of registration. Drawings may be requested through www.fbo.gov.
