- NASA/KSC has a requirement for a quantity of 300 (three hundred) ExtendedTemperature DC/DC Converters. NASA/KSC intends to purchase these items from PicoElectronics, Inc. Pico Electronics Extended Temperature DC/DC converter, 24V input, 9Voutput, SM series (P/N 92237) and Extended Temperature DC/DC converter, 24V input, +-12Voutput, SM series (P/N 92238) have both been qualified to meet the requirements specifiedin KSC drawing 79K38872. These items are currently installed in previous versions of thecurrent-to-current board and the manufactured components have been designed and tested tomeet the necessary requirements. Therefore, brand name uniformity is essential. TheGovernment intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interestedorganizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort inwriting to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on July6th 2011. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose ofdetermining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.Adetermination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. Allresponsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency(Tyronza.Borden@nasa.gov).
