Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons, U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, Springfield, Missouri, intends to make a Sole Source award under FAR Part 13.106-1(b) to Siemens Medical Solutions, 51 Valley Stream Parkway, Malvern, Pennsylvania 19355, for a Syngo Dynamics SL Server, Upgrades, v9. The purchase will include software license and support, hardware and/or third-party software and support and professional services and support. This equipment shall be delivered to the U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, 1900 W. Sunshine Street, Springfield, Missouri. The above equipment is an upgrade to our current system and will support the current DICOM ultrasound modality format for the multiple ultrasound modalities. The system will create integration that can support the study transfer and upload functions for cross-departmental needs. The upgrade is necessary in order to recover vital data and exam information from the existing system. The procurement will be a firm-fixed priced purchase order. This acquisition is unrestricted and FOB destination. Any vendor who believes they can meet these requirements shall provide written notification to the Contracting Officer by July 13, 2011, 4 p.m. CST. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed and must show competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice will solely be at the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source procurement to Siemens Medical Solutions. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts.
