- TDC Standards VSAT Technical Document In accordance with FAR 10.001, the government is conducting market research to determine whether or not industry possesses sources capable of providing the following requirements for the 3rd Combat Communications Group (3 CCG) at Tinker Air Force Base (AFB), Oklahoma. In addition the market research will be used to determine the practices and procedures of firms engaged in the type of products and/or services defined below. INTENT: This request for information will include an industry event at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma City, OK to receive demonstrations, briefings and information about Very Small Aperture Terminals (VSAT) from interested vendors. RFI GOALS: Shorterm: To work towards the acquisition of 6 to 8 VSATs with 3 year limited warranty over the next 18 months. Longterm: Acquire a one for one replacement of currently implemented SATCOM systems (approx 30 terminals). EVENT DETAILS: The 3rd Combat Communications Group will host representatives from the SATCOM industry interested in demonstrating their products at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on the 27th and 28th of July 2011. Industry participants should plan on demonstrating and briefing products one day during the week to an audience of military users. Interested companies should furnish the following information: Name and address of company, Point of Contact (Name address, phone number, and e-mail), Identify past and current products your company offers which most closely match the capabilities specified above. Please provide any available product brochures, specification sheets, photographs, illustration and technical descriptions which describe your company's current products which most closely match these capabilities. Interested companies may also provide a "White Paper" (no more than 20 pages in length) describing how its products and technical expertise could produce and deliver such a capability. Also, identify your company's past and current customers to which you provided similar products, including a customer/company name and point of contact, phone number and address/e-mail where they can be contacted. Representatives should limit their attending parties to no more than 3 individuals. For security purposes full names of all attending personnel must be provided in RSVP along with a detailed description of all equipment being demonstrated. The final event schedule and visitor packets will be released to representatives on 16 July 2011. IMPORTANT NOTE : This is not a request for proposal. This is a request for information only and all information received will be for planning purposes only. This RFI does not constitute a Request for Proposal nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Contracting Officer does not intend to award a contract on the basis of your responses nor otherwise pay for the preparation of any information presented or the use of any such information. All proprietary information should be marked as such.
