- Description: Lodging Services for the Miami VA Healthcare System (VAHS) This is a Synopsis for a commercial item acquisition and will be conducted in accordance FAR Parts 12, 13, and 15 in accordance with IL 90-99-4 (http://www1.va.gov/oamm/oa/ars/policyreg/ils/il99_4.cfm). This procurement will be done using Full and Open Competition. The purpose of this Solicitation is to acquire Lodging services for the Miami VAHS at the best value to the government. It is the intention of the Miami VAHS to solicit proposals under RFP VA248-11-RP-0362, NAICS Code: 721110, size standard of thirty ($30) million dollars in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, specifications, and schedules of the solicitation and award a contract on a competitive basis. The contract resulting from the solicitation shall be a Firm Fixed Price contract with one (1) base year plus four (4) one (1) year options exercised at the discretion of the government. For the convenience to the beneficiaries of the Miami VAMC, Lodging Services will be used to provide room accommodations to beneficiaries under the terms and conditions set forth in the solicitation. In an effort to meet the green initiative, documents should be submitted electronically via email encrypted. Emails should not be more than five (5) megabytes in size. The electronic solicitation will be announced on July 1, 2011. The offeror will be responsible for downloading all solicitation documents, amendments and other documents from the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website (www.fbo.gov) without further notice from the Department of Veterans Affairs, SAO EAST 8 - Site Team Miami. Interested firms must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration System (CCR) at www.ccr.gov.
