- The National Park Service (NPS), is soliciting bids from firms having the capability to perform the work described below. This solicitation will be issued electronically on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available. Prospective bidders desiring to conduct business with the NPS are requested to register at the National Business Center. All responsible sources may submit a response, which if timely received, the government will consider. Bidders wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Subscribers to this service are ultimately responsible for reviewing the http://ideasec.nbc.gov site for all information relevant to this solicitation. No other notifications will be sent.The Request for Proposal (RFP) will result in the selection of the contractor whose offer provides the Government with the best value. Solicitation Number: P11PS61793Title of Project: Replace Hot Water Heaters (5)Description: This project includes the replacement of three (3) standard energy inefficient forty gallon glass lined electric water heaters and two (2) inefficient one hundred gallon glass lined natural gas water heaters with highly efficient five star rated instant hot point of use water heaters. Due to the distance from the hot water tanks to the point of use, installation of instant hot water tanks will reduce water consumption and energy use required to provide hot water at each point of use. Type of Procurement: A firm fixed price contract will be awarded as a result of this solicitation.Time for Completion: Project must be completed within 30 calendar days from date of award.Set-Aside(s): This requirement is set-aside for Small Business Enterprises.
