- Description
- The USNS Mercy has a requirement for six (6) Upright Blood Bank Freezers. The systems shall be upright, ultralow temperature freezers. Each system shall have a minimum chamber capacity of 30 cu. ft, a minimum blood storage capacity of 40 sq. ft., and a minimum freezing temperature range of -40 C to -80 C. Each system shall utilize two independently operating cooling systems (dual cascade system), of which each dual cascade system shall be capable of maintaining the required freezing temperature range via use of a single operating cooling system, in the event that if one system should fail, the other system would be capable of operating while maintaining the required system freezing temperature. The system shall not exceed 80 (H) x 60 (W) x 36 (D) for exterior dimensions. The electrical requirements are 440 V, 20 Amp, and 3 phase.
