Description
The Bureau of Reclamation, Acquisition Operations Group, Denver, Colorado, intends to award on a sole-source basis to Centre for Energy Advancement through Technological Innovation (CEATI), International, 1010 Rue Sherbrooke O Bureau 2500, Montreal, QC H3A 2R7. The requirement is for participation in a HPLIG technical research study resulting in reports on software program on the "Hydro Unit Stator Core and Rotor Pole Replacement / Refurbishment Criteria." Because of the specificity of the study and confidential nature of the information provided in these reports, only contributing CEATI members are able to review the information provided and receive the hard copy reports and software with the following requirements: a)A comprehensive technical report outlining the failure causes and mechanisms of stator cores and rotor poles. b)A guide outlining the technical criteria that will support the assessment and continued serviceability of stator cores and rotor poles. c)A guide to the technical risk management methodology that outlines the decision making process. d)A ready-to-publish report on the results of the investigation. e)A PowerPoint presentation f)Develop, deliver and report on a questionnaire or survey to gain more knowledge over what core and rotor pole replacements have been undertaken across the industry. g)Develop and publish a software program to assist Utilities in determining the expected life of rotor poles and stator cores. Competition is restricted to only one source per FAR 6.302-1. This procurement will be awarded using FAR Part 12 Commercial Item procedures with an intended period of performance of twelve months plus two option months. Anticipated award date is July 5, 2011. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement or proposal by 12:00 pm MST, July 1, 2011, which shall be considered by the agency.
