- The 1st Special Operations Contracting Squadron at Hurlburt Field FL intends to award a Sole Source purchase order to Global Ground Support, for Line Item 0001: De-Icing Truck Simulator. This award is restricted to Global Ground Support and is under North American Industry Classification System Code 333319 with a small business size standard of 500. This sole source action is being accomplished under the authority of FAR 13.501. The Government believes that Global Ground Support De-Icing Simulator is a patented and proprietary commercial product that can only be acquired through Global Ground Support, and no other products are available that can support the training of personnel for de-icing trucks. This notice is NOT a request for quote. However, interested parties shall submit to the contracting officer a brief capabilities statement package (no more than 10 pages in length, single spaced, and 12 point font minimum) demonstrating ability to perform the requested services at or before 1:00 PM (central), 28 June 2011. Any information received will only be considered for the purpose of conducting a competitive procurement. A firm-fixed price order will be issued in writing. Anticipated award is 30 June 2011.
