- Questions & Answers Maintenance and Repair of Non-ADPE Equipment and Training This is a Sources Sought Synopsis; there is no solicitation available at this time. Requests for a solicitation will receive no response. This Sources Sought Synopsis is published for market research purposes only; to identify potential sources capable of providing personnel for maintenance and repair of the non-ADPE hardware as specified in Section 3 of the PWS, training for the government or government sponsored personnel in the operation of all integrated equipment as defined in the attached PWS. This work will be done in support of the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) Advanced Navigation Technology (ANT) center. Work includes, but is not limited to performing diagnostics and on-line testing of system components, performing diagnostics on the hardware, software and all interfaces with navigation, GPS and controls systems, performing diagnostics on all of the subsystems, including components and their interfaces. All of the components of the systems shall be adjusted or recalibrated whenever the diagnostics indicate such need. On-site work will be required to be performed on-site at Wright-Patterson AFB OH. The requirement is located at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. A draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) is attached; this is only a draft and in no way should be construed as a request for proposal. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 811219 Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. In response to this notice, offerors shall submit a capability statement consisting of the evidence that the required service, as outlined in the attached PWS can be accomplished successfully by the offeror. Offerors shall include evidence of technical expertise and financial capability. Capability packages are not to exceed 25 pages. Advertising or marketing information is NOT appropriate. The responses to this synopsis will be used for a market survey. This sources sought synopsis is not a request for proposals; it is a market research tool being utilized to determine the availability and adequacy of potential sources prior to issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP). Any information submitted by respondents to this synopsis is strictly voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information that is submitted by respondents to this sources sought request. Contractors who believe they possess the required expertise and experience shall submit two copies of their technical capabilities in writing to Mr. Daniel W. Enders, ASCPKOBB, 1940 Allbrook Drive, Room 109, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH 45433-5309, or electronically to Daniel.Enders@wpafb.af.mil. Personal visits to discuss this project will not be scheduled. Responses must be received not later than 1600 EST, July 29, 2011. All documentation shall become the property of the Government. Firms responding must indicate the following information: Indicate the business size: small business or small disadvantaged business, veteran owned small business or HUBZone certified, and indicate the appropriate NAICS code. This synopsis neither constitutes a Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach.
