Description
Scope of Contract. This contract is for interpretive sign fabrication (off-site) and delivery/installation of those signs. Outdoor interpretive sign structures, interpretive structural elements and associated interpretive panels have already been designed. The designs of the interpretive sign structures and elements will be included in the contract package, along with dimensions. Once a contract is awarded, the digital files for the graphic designs of the interpretive panels will be provided to the contractor by the Forest Service in native file format, with all necessary fonts. Contract also includes final design and fabrication (off-site) of 6 trail directional signs. Contractor is responsible for ensuring that all interpretive panels fit their frames correctly. This contract also includes the on-site installation of these outdoor interpretive sign structures and panels, the trail directional signs and associated removal of existing interpretive structures, associated site work and clean-up. This contract also includes some interpretive trail reconstruction and in one location, construction and installation of an interpretive interactive sculpture. Work includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, transportation, and incidentals necessary to perform work as shown and specified herein. Price Range: Between $150,000 - $300,000. Project Location: The areas for installation are located within the Gallatin National Forest-Hebgen Lake Ranger District, northwest of the town of West Yellowstone and west of Yellowstone National Park, along and off of Highway 287, west of its junction with Highway 191. It is anticipated the solicitation and all materials will be posted to the FBO website by mid July 2011.
