- Description
- This requirement is for a firm-fixed price contract for 6625-01-381-6808RN, Part Number 856A1278G04, Electronic Systems Test Set. The test set is equipped with a power management control (PMC) to the main engine control. This test set supplies simulated alternator power, 70 vrms/1942 Hz, to the PMC as well as provides a digital panel meter (DPM) for measuring the power level angle gain voltage in support of the F108-CF-100 engine on the KC-135R tanker. The test set consists of four components in carrying cases identified as follows: PMC system tester unit (13 in x 21 in x 7 in), PLA gain adjustment kit (13 in x 21 in x 7 in), cable kit (13 in x 21 in x 7 in), and pressure controller (9 in x 13 in x 13 in). The basic requirement is for 10 each. The requirement also includes four (4) Option Periods each for a quantity range of 1-10. Delivery is 150 days ARO contract award / exercise of option. All assets will be shipped FOB Origin. Locations to be determined. The approximate RFP issue date will be 5 July 2011. Proposals are due 5 August 2011. IAW FAR 5.207(c)(14)(ii) - One or more of the items under this acquisition is subject to the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement and Free Trade Agreements. This is a sole source or limited sources acquisition to General Electric Company (CAGE 07482) and Rhinestahl Corporation (CAGE 62340), in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only One or a Limited Number of Responsible Sources, and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. No technical data is available to the Government as GE retains proprietary rights to the data package for the electronic test set necessary to build and maintain the equipment. No technical data is available to be provided. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. RFP will not be posted to FBO. However, if you desire to receive a copy, please notify the POC and one will be provided. Anticipated award date is 30 Sep 2011. Based upon market research, the Government is not using policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested parties may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.
