- The FAA is seeking qualified small businesses for installation of a roof on the administration wing of the ARTCC, 1850 South Sigsbee Street, Indianapolis, Indiana Work under this scope includes, but is not limited to, the following:1.Remove existing roofing system over the Administration Wing (approximately 7,300 sq. ft.) as indicated on Drawings: ZID-D-ARTCC-A242-1 and -A242-2.2.Provide a new mechanically-fastened TPO membrane roofing system.3.Provide six (6) roof anchor restraints.Other work as indicated on the drawings and in the specifications Prospective bidders will also be asked to provide an offer for the following work that the FAA may elect to exercise as an option.OPTION (1)1.Remove existing roofing system over the Administration Wing (approximately 12,400 sq. ft.) as indicated on Drawings: ZID-D-ARTCC-A242-1 and -A242-2.2.Provide a new mechanically-fastened TPO membrane roofing system.3.Provide nine (9) roof anchor restraints. Prospective bidders will be required to provide evidence that they are certified as a small business by the Small Business Administration (SBA). They will also be required to provide proof that they have had an active business office within fifty (50) miles of the facility where this work is to be performed for a minimum of one (1) year.at the time the offer is presented. Active business office evidence includes an office continuously staffed and engaged in day-to-day business, and not just a post office box number or telephone number.Any questions should be made in writing and addressed to the Contracting Officer by email at Karen.Czerwiec@faa.gov. Offer range is between $200,000.00 to $300,000.00 with a performance time of approximately 30 calendar days. Work is anticipated to start July 2011. The work will be performed in strict accordance with the specifications, drawings and contract provisions under the contract resulting from this solicitation. NAICS code is 238160 This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT short Term receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
