- Pre-Solicitation Notice The US Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, plans to solicit for a supply contract which shall include, but not be limited to, the fabrication of three (3) miter gate anchorage link assemblies and miscellaneous parts for the existing gates and embedded anchorages for USACE's Poe Lock, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Assemblies include fracture critical link arms, connecting pins, bushings, eye bolts, shims and keeper plates. The materials consist of structural alloy steel and manganese bronze with varying grades depending on part. The assemblies will be installed by US Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District personnel. General Information: This project is set aside for small businesses. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this requirement is 332710. The small business size standard for this requirement is 500 employees. The solicitation is expected to be available on or around 6 July 2011.
