Description
The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) has a requirement for the following: Microscope and Camera Systems Olympus Model BX63F Microscope Fluorescent Upgrade 1.6-cube turret adaptable to Olympus model BX41 microscope. 2.Neutral Density filter (U-25 ND 50) in slider adaptable to Olympus model BX41 microscope. 3.Mercury light source with center mirror collector. 4.Mercury burner with 300 operational hours. 5.Fluorescent cube DAPI/HEOCHST/AMCA Ex D350/50X BS400 EM 460/50 to fit Olympus turret. 6.Fluorescent cube FITC/EGFP/BODIPY/FLUO3DIO Ex/HQ480/40 BS/Q505LP EM 535 to fit Olympus turret. 7.Fluorescent cube Rhodamine/DIL EX535; BS565, EM610 to fit Olympus turret. 8.CCD Camera adaptor to fit Olympus model DP72 digital camera. Olympus FV1000 Confocal System 1.Able to utilize a diode laser for stability, a SIM scanner for evolved light stimulation, and a Variable Bandpass Filter for high precision and sensitivity. 2.Compatibility with Olympus 30x (N.A. of 1.05) silicon immersion oil objective and a 60x (N.A. of 1.3) silicon immersion oil objective to eliminate spherical aberration. 3.Laser feedback and stabilizing system to provide consistent laser intensity throughout time series. 4.Four direct-detection PMT detectors and One Transmission Detector 5.Single confocal pinhole 6.16 f/s scan rate at 256x256 frame size 7.Maintenance and adjustment free bi-directional scanning for use during high speed imaging 8.Fully automated internal stepper motor with Z-resolution of 10nm 9.an open configuration for attachment of Olympus imaging devices 10.Analog and Hybrid photon counting PMT modes 11.Ion deposition filters 12.XY, XYZ, XYT, XT and XYZT scan modes 13.Upgradeable to a Spectral SIM System (including a 4th laser) 14.Fluorescent cube DAPI/HEOCHST/AMCA Ex D350/50X BS400 EM 460/50 to fit Olympus turret. 15.Fluorescent cube FITC/EGFP/BODIPY/FLUO3DIO Ex/HQ480/40 BS/Q505LP EM 535 to fit Olympus turret. 16.Objective lens with the following optical characteristics: 10X- NA 0.4 WD 3.1mm; 20X- NA 0.85 WD 0.17mm. 17.CCD Camera adaptor to fit Olympus model DP72 digital camera. 18.12-megapixel or greater digital camera resolution. 19.Black and white auto or manual background correction. 20.Auto-exposure option for fluorescence imaging. 21.Peltier cooled CCD for reduction of pixel noise during low light acquisitions. 22.2X2 or 4X4 binning options. 23.Image resolution ranges: 4140X3096, 2070X1548, 1360X1024, 680X510. 24.Capable of capturing low signal fluorescence images. 25.Image quality requirement of at least 12-bit RGB with 36-bit RGB depth of color. 26.Auto-focusing aid. 27.Capable of interfacing with Microsoft Windows 7 and Photoshop software applications. 28.Constrained iterative deconvolution algorithm. 29.Capable of using 64 or 32 bit operating system. 30.Image manipulation via mirroring, rotation, resizing, cropping and channel shifting. 31. Image processing tools are for contrast adjustment, smoothing (low pass), image sharpening, noise and shading correction. 32.Capable of processing multi-dimensional images by manipulating channels as well as combining or extracting specific frames. 33.Capable of acquiring measurements on separate image layers. 34.Capable of exporting data to Microsoft Excel. Microscope Systems, Software and Accessories 1.Compatibility and interchangeability of objectives, camera mounts, cameras and camera system software with existing Olympus models BX63F, BX40, BX41, BX43, BX45 model light microscopes and Olympus Nanozoomer. 1.Four fluorescent filters and rotating wheel. The wheel and cube must fit in the Olympus Nanozoomer and be compatible with other Olympus equipment and the NanoZoomer and Visiopharm software. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency. The competitive solicitation, solicitation amendments and all questions and answers relating to this procurement shall be made available via the Internet at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/ or https://www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about, May 2, 2011 and will only be available until July 7, 2011. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract.
