Description
This is a PRESOLICITATION Notice for the following: Procurement is 100 Percent Small Business Set-Aside Project Name: Construct ten-foot wide bituminous surface off-road bicycle trail at Voyageurs National Park in International Falls, Minnesota The North American Industry Classification System (NACIS) Code: 237990 "Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction" The Small Business Size Standard is $33.5 Million In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the magnitude of the requirement for this contract is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00 The Solicitation Number for this Project is P11PS60388 The US Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Ohio Major Acquisition Buying Office is soliciting proposals for a firm-fixed-price construction contract to provide all labor, supplies, equipment and material necessary to perform all operations required for the successful completion of the above named project. Work consists of but not all inclusive furnishing all labor, materials, tools, supplies, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary construct a ten-foot wide bituminous surface off-road bicycle trail at Voyageurs National Park in International Falls, Minnesota. Work consists of but not all inclusive furnishing all labor, materials, tools, supplies, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to construct a ten-foot wide bituminous surface off-road bicycle trail along, but separated from, the 1.75 mile park entrance road serving the Rainy Lake Visitor Center. The trail design and construction will meet National Park Service and Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) bike trail design standards. Work will consist of general construction of a bike trail, including vegetation clearing and grubbing, rock blasting, earth grading, culvert installations, geotextile fabric installation, construction of embankments, aggregate trail base construction, asphalt paving, signage, trail shoulder and embankment turf propagation, along with other related work. Special Requirements: Time line of work will involve winter weather with possibility of winter shut down requiring remobilization to the site. A site visit will be scheduled for all interested and qualified parties with the time and date to be announced in the Solicitation. The Solicitation and attachments will be posted electronically on or about July 8, 2011 at the following website: www/fedbizopps.gov. All Amendments will also be posted to this website. Responses will be due approximately 30 days following the date of posting of the Solicitation unless extended. NOTE: POSTING DATE OF SOLICITATION IS NOT DEFINATE.
