Description
This Sources Sought Notice is not a request for proposal, a request for quotation, or an invitation for bid; nor does it restrict the 647th Contracting Squadron to an ultimate acquisition approach. This Sources Sought Notice is in support of market research being conducted by the 647th Contracting Squadron (in accordance with FAR part 10) to identify companies located in the State of Hawaii which are certified under the Small Business Administration (SBA)8(a)Business Development Program, and are capable of providing acoustic sound engineering and installation services in accordance with the requirements as stated below. General Requirements: The overall primary objective of this requirement is to provide acoustic sound engineering and installation services for the electronic enhancement and voice lifting capability within Wing C located at Asia Pacific Center for Security Studies, Honolulu Hawaii. Listed below are some of the specific objective requirements: A. Need to support an extremely wide variety of events with optimal acoustics. B. Effect a complete change in room acoustics without interrupting a busy program schedule and in time for imminent performances. C. Ability to change acoustic requirements with physical changes to the room environment. (Sample scenarios: Plenary area divided in half or Seminar room walls removed for larger plenary area.). D. Avoid costly and cumbersome approaches involving physical changes to room volume and surfaces. E. Provide acoustical ambience ideally suited to spoken word, prerecorded video presentations and selected ethnic music without the use of handheld or tabletop microphones. F. Increase projection of sound throughout the entire Plenary space. G. Minimize any visual or aesthetic impact on the interior architecture. H. Ensure simplicity and ease of use. I. Maintain natural sound quality. Hardware/Software Requirements: Multipurpose performance space electronic enhancement - includes voice-lift capability for the Wing C Plenary area and Seminar rooms - All system hardware and software including electronic headend equipment, user interface and system application software with full one-year warranty on hardware & software. Installation Requirements: System Cable Plant Installation - including network systems cable plant and installation. Electrical System Installation - including UPS for headend & processing electronics. System Installation - including engineering and ACAD documentation and architectural drawing "mark-ups", equipment rack enclosures, rack fabrication, field device installation, system integration, system commissioning and final tuning, project management, Site Trips, Site Acceptance Testing and Operations Manuals. Respondents please note that only SBA approved 8(a) Business Development participating firms located in the State of Hawaii should respond to this Sources Sought Notice. Qualified interested parties may submit responses to this Sources Sought Notice to ryan.truong@hickam.af.mil by 22 June 2011 with capability statements, which need to include at a minimum the following information: 1. Name and address of company 2. Point of contact name and phone number 3. 8(a) Business Development Certification 4. Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code 5. Capabilities statement demonstrating the firm's ability to perform the required services described above. 6. Firm's experience in providing services identified above. Respondents please note that this is strictly a Sources Sought Notice only. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. No contractual action will be initiated, considered, or awarded based on this Sources Sought Notice. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this sources sought request. Information submitted by the interested parties is provided on a strictly voluntary basis.
