- The VISN 6 NCA will issued o/a July 15, 2011, Solicitation/Invitation for Bid VA-246-11-IB-0074, Construct New Entrance to Womens Health Clinic. Contractor shall provide all labor, material, tools, equipment, transportation, and qualified supervision to demolish existing exterior and interior features including concrete stairs, concrete and rock walls, rails, doors, and other features followed by installation of new stairs, accessible ramps, planting bed, rails, interior doors and partitions, interior intercom and camera systems, and other related work to complete the requirements for the new Women ™s Health Center Entrance located at the front of Building 5. Work shall involve temporary partitions/infection control measures, layout, floor/wall/ceiling demolition, floor preparation, electrical/plumbing fixture removal and relocation, plaster/drywall partitions and preparation for finishes, door/hardware replacement and installation, relocated and new electrical circuits, relocated light fixtures, plumbing requirements, relocation of cabling for telephone/data, acoustical ceiling reconfiguration, HVAC modification, concrete demolition and placement, rockwork, railing installation, concrete stair demolition and reconstruction, and other associated work. This Project is aimed at producing a safe, accessible, and private entrance for the Women ™s Health Clinic. All work, including final cleanup and completion of any punch list items, shall be performed within one hundred twenty (120) calendar days of receipt of the Notice to Proceed. NAICS Code 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, with a small business size standard of $33.5 million applies. This procurement is 100% set-aside for qualified and verified service-disabled, veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB). The cost range for this procurement is between $250,000 - $500,000. A pre-bid conference will be held and the exact date, time and location will be contained in the solicitation. Work shall be performed at the VA Medical Center, Salem, Virginia.
