- Description
- The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has a requirement for a contract to provide technical support required to maintain and operate the Highway Safety Information System (HSIS) and develop and promote the sixth generation of HSIS. that improves the system in meeting the current and future highway safety data needs of the FHWA and the safety community. This Contractor shall further operate, evaluate, enhance, and promote the HSIS. The existing system shall be maintained and additional years of accident, roadway, and traffic data shall be acquired as they become available from the participating eight States. The system maintenance shall include monitoring and upgrading of the system to take advantage of state-of-the-art computer hardware and software. The continued operation of the on-site laboratory, providing data management and statistical support, shall also be undertaken. Identifying, collecting, and integrating new data files in the existing States, possibly from new States or other sources shall enhance the HSIS. The HSIS shall be used to address current and future highway safety analysis issues of national importance. Activities to enhance and promote the HSIS shall be explored and implemented. This requirement is full and open competition pursuant to NAICS code 541712 with a small business size standard is 500 employees. The solicitation, all related documents and amendments, if any, will only be released and available electronically through the FedBizOpps posting system at http://www.Fedbizopps.gov under the Vendors option followed by selection of the Department of Transportation (DOT) center. As such, no written, telephonic, facsimile or email requests for the solicitation package will be honored. Interested parties can register at the aforementioned site to receive procurement announcements by email. Since this solicitation will only be available electronically, it is solely the responsibility of interested parties to monitor the FedBizOpps website for any solicitation amendments.
