Description

? PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE - Project 556-11-107 Renovation Tramways at the James A. Lovell Federal Healthcare Center, North Chicago, Illinois. Contractor shall provide all tools, materials, components, labor and supervision to Renovate Tramways at FHCC as outlined in the contract specifications, and as shown on the contract drawings. Work includes all phase of general construction, renovation, alternations, replacement of 7 HVAC units, replacement of both ceiling mounted and recessed light fixtures, patching & painting, replacement of acoustical ceiling tiles, installation of epoxy flooring, installation of emergency egress lighting and exit signed and other items required by the construction documents. Work is to be completed within 365 calendar days of receipt of a Notice to Proceed. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006, Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to SDVOSB construction firms. The solicitation will be issued on/about July 1, 2011 with the bid opening on/about August 2, 2011. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from Fedbizops which may be issued to this solicitation. There will be pre-construction conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-construction conference will be included in the solicitation package. The project magnitude range is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220; size standard $33.5 million applies. Note: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Great Lakes Acquisition Center has moved to new offices. Our new address is 115 South 84th Street, 1st Floor, Milwaukee WI 53214-1476. All interested parties must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database and must have current record in the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) prior to bid opening. SDVOSB's must be verified by at the Center for Veterans Enterprises (CVE) http://www4.va.gov/vetbiz/vip/verify.htm and be in compliance with VETs 100 reporting http://www.dol.gov/vets/programs/fcp/main.htm to be eligible for award.
