Description
STATEMENT OF WORK 1. NOTES: 1.1TITLE: TOP SIDE DIESEL GENERATOR 1.2 IDENTIFICATION: USS SAN FRANCISCO (SSN-711) SUBBASE POINT LOMA, CA 1.3LOCATION: USS SAN FRANCISCO (SSN-711) MIDDLE PIER SUBBASE POINT LOMA, CA 2. REFERENCES: 2.1 AUTOMATED INFORMATIONAL SYSTEM (AIM) 3. JOB DESCRIPTION: 3.1 The top side temporary adjustable droop diesel is intended to provide a second source of electrical power for nuclear powered vessels to assure uninterrupted electrical power for reactor monitoring and control functions when the ship ™s diesel generator is inoperable. This requirement is IAW the reactor plant manual, section OI2. The ship is going to be securing the onboard generator for docking evolution. 4. FEATURES REQUIRED: 4.1300kw or more, 440vac, 60Hz, 3 phases, minimum 16 hour fuel capacity 4.2100 ™ of cable with standard Navy joy connection. 4.3Diesel engine will be run in parallel with SSMG so the temp diesel is required to have load sharing capability. 4.4Diesel shall be installed topside as close to frame 74 as possible while clearing cleats, hatches, and mooring lines with side passage clearance. 4.5Assembly must weigh less than 16000 pounds and be secure up to a 5 degree list. 4.6Contractor is required to perform system operation before and after delivery. 4.7Contractor is to provide training on the operation of machinery from generator start-up to shutdown. 4.8Contractor is also required to deliver an instruction manual along with machinery. 4.9Contractor should be available if further training is needed. 4.10Contractor is to provide a 24 hour contact number for all emergencies or questions. 4.11An inspection by the Project Manager will be conducted before Generator is turned over to the Government and once the contract is terminated with the Government for turn over to the ship. 5. NOTES: 5.1 Vendor is required to do cable connections from generator to receptacle stand. 5.2Government will provide receptacle stand. 5.3Contractor will provide fuel for Generator if generator is to run. As of now the contract is for a standby generator only. 5.4Contractor will also provide a containment area for the whole generator. 5.5Contractor will be needed to pick-up generator with in 24 hours of job completion or 24 hour call prior to scheduling pick-up. 6.
