- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), intends to procure on a sole source basis from GE Intelligent Platforms Embedded Systems, Inc. (GE-IPES), 12090 S Memorial PKWY, Huntsville AL 35803-3308 to purchase nine (9) Single Board Computers (SBC) “ Part Number PPC8A-2H6ACB4, five (5) Video Graphic Cards (VGC), Part Number PMCGA3-2AE7P0 and seven (7) Network Interface Cards (NIC) “ Part Number PMC613FXRCSC-CCA for the MK41 Vertical Launch System (VLS) Life Cycle Support Facility to support ongoing Fleet modernization. These components are proprietary items manufactured by GE-IPES. The introduction of any other similar system by any other manufacturer for these applications is not considered to be in the best interest of the Government with regard to configuration, performance and cost. Quotes will be accepted from authorized resellers of GE-IPES. Please provide a copy of your authorization letter with your quote. This procurement will be acquired utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. FOB Destination to Dahlgren, VA shall apply. The North American industry Classification System Code is 334111 with a size standard of 1000 employees. The closing date is 27 June 2011. The anticipated award date is 29 June 2011. All responsible parties may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency.
