Description
INVITATION FOR BID Sealed bids will be received at the office of the Purchasing Agent, Career Systems Development, Cassadaga Job Corps Academy, 8115 Glasgow Road, Cassadaga, New York 14718 until 10:00 a.m. EST on July 22, 2011 and publicly opened and read for: ROOF REPLACEMENT FOR DORMITORY BUILDING 4 Located at the site of Cassadaga Job Corps Academy, 8115 Glasgow Road, Cassadaga, New York 14718. Copies of the specifications and the bidding documents may be obtained only at the office of the Purchasing Agent, Cassadaga Job Corps Academy. Purchasing Agent Cassadaga Job Corps Academy 8115 Glasgow Road Cassadaga, NY 14718 716-595-4244 A bid bond or certified check payable to Cassadaga Job Corps Academy in the amount of 20% of the base bid is required, which is subject to forfeit if the bidder fails to enter into a contract for work under the conditions outlined in the drawing and specifications. A pre-bid walk-through will be held at the Cassadaga Job Corps Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2011. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for performance and labor and material payment bonds equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, before execution of the contract with Career Systems Development, Cassadaga Job Corps Academy. Before submitting a proposal, each bidder shall examine carefully all documents pertaining to the work and visit the site to verify conditions under which the work is to be performed. Submission of a bid will be considered as presumptive evidence that the bidder has examined all documents, visited the site and is conversant with existing conditions, local facilities and difficulties, requirements of the documents, and all applicable codes, labor markets, material markets and has made due allowances in his/her bid for all costs including applicable taxes, overhead, profit and contingencies to complete all work covered by the contract document without further cost to the contractor, Career Systems Development, Cassadaga Job Corps Academy. Proposals are to be submitted on the form provided in the contract documents. Enclose forms in a sealed envelope marked "Bid Documents", project title, bidder's name, date and time of opening and owner's address. Attention of bidders is called to the requirements pertaining to the Davis-Bacon Act in the preparation of proposals submitted for this project. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in or to reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid for forty-five (45) days after the day specified for termination of receipt of bids.
