- Description
- The U. S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Midwest Area, National Center for Agricultural Utilization (NCAUR) has a project entitled Replace Greenhouse Glazing System in Peoria, IL. The work includes but is not limited to: furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other necessary work for the replacement of the exterior glazing of Building 13 (Greenhouse). The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: the removal of existing exterior glazing, glazing caps, and associated gaskets; and installation of new acrylic glazing, aluminum glazing caps, and associated gaskets. The period of performance is 120 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP). The Magnitude of Construction is estimated between $25,000 to $150,000. SET-ASIDE: This acquisition will be procured as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible businesses meeting the requirement may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The NAICS code is 238150 and the annual size standard is 14 million. This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-52. Solicitation No. AG-5114-S-11-AA07 is scheduled for uploading on or about July 1, 2011. The solicitation will be posted on the FedBizOpps website at www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued. It is the responsibility of the contractor to check the website for the solicitation, as well as any amendments that may arise. A pre-bid site visit will be scheduled and information provided in the solicitation package. It is highly recommended and strongly encouraged that all prospective bidders visit the project site, inspect and observe the site conditions, and review the project scope and requirements at the site prior to submission of a bid. This will be the only opportunity to visit the job site prior to submission of bid. Bids will be due by 2:00 PM on August 4, 2011. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded. Contractors are required to register or update their registration at the Central Contractor Registration website at www.ccr.gov in order to receive a contract award under this solicitation, and register or update their registration at the Online Representation and Certification Application website at http://orca.bpn.gov.
