Description
The U.S. Marshals Service/Justice Prisoner and Alien Transportation System (JPATS) intends to negotiate and award a sole source purchase order under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source, to Aeromech, HC 9 Box 13429, Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, for maintenance and logistics support services to JPATS' owned and operated Saab 2000 aircraft in Las Vegas Nevada, for the period of performance from October 1, 2011 through September 30, 2012, with four (4) additional option years. This is based on the unique, very high tech, state of the art Saab 2000 aircraft. Aeromech possesses the licenses, certifications, qualifications and experience required to perform the daily maintenance, inspection, repair and servicing of this unique aircraft. This notice of intent is neither a request for competitive proposals nor a request for offers. Proposed contract action is for services which the Government intends to solicit only one source. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to the requirement by providing written notification to the point of contact (POC) no later than 5:00 pm EST, Wednesday, June 29, 2011. Supporting evidence must be furnished in detail to demonstrate the capabilities to perform the requirement. Responses received will be evaluated, however a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses must be submitted via e-mail to Arlene Dee Carlson, at arlene.carlson@usdoj.gov. Telephone requests or inquires WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
