- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect for Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-52. This acquisition is unrestricted. //Schedule of items: This requirement is for Freestanding Washers and Dryers. //CLIN 0001: 90 ea Freestanding Siemens Condenser Tumble Dryer. Model number:WT46E385GB. Colour: White. 5 years parts and labor warranty which will not commence until CFMO release the stock to the initial customer. To include delivery to 422 CES/CEACF, Bldg 144, CFMO, RAF Croughton, Brackley, Northants, UK NN13 5NQ. Appliance characteristics to iclude: Condenser type dryer, 8Kg capacity, 45Kg Net weight, 50 Hertz, Energy Efficieny Class B. GB 3 pin plug. Automatic moisture monitoring system, adjustable drying time, LED drying progress indicator. Digital countdown indicator, continuous start delay options, 24 hour start delay, blocked filter indicator, water container full indicator, exhaust water pipe, gentle low heat drying programme, anti crease function,end of cycle indicator, stainless steel drum, fluff filter. OMBUDSMAN (AUG 2005) (a) An ombudsman has been appointed to hear and facilitate the resolution of concerns from offerors, potential offerors, and others for this acquisition. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The existence of the ombudsman does not affect the authority of the program manager, contracting officer, or source selection official. Further, the ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the adjudication of protests or formal contract disputes. The ombudsman may refer the party to another official who can resolve the concern. (b) Before consulting with an ombudsman, interested parties must first address their concerns, issues, disagreements, and/or recommendations to the contracting officer for resolution. Consulting an ombudsman does not alter or postpone the timelines for any other processes (e.g., agency level bid protests, GAO bid protests, requests for debriefings, employee-employer actions, contests of OMB Circular A-76 competition performance decisions).
