- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for:-Qty: 3 Description: Wind River General Purpose Platform-VxWorks Edition 3.7,Subscription Floating License Renewal (June 17, 2011 June 16, 2012).VxWorks is the operating system on which the GSFC Flight Software Branch writes andoperates it flight software and is integral for Branch projects. This renewal willprovide software updates, technical assistance, as well as continued use for our currentlicenses.NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the item from Wind River Systems Inc. It is ourunderstanding that Wind River Systems Inc. is the only vendor that can supply therequirement. DO Rating is DO-C9. This synopsis shall not be construed as a commitment by theGovernment, nor will the Government pay for the information solicited.Questions regarding this acquisition must be directed to the attention of Odessia Becks via e-mail at Odessia.H.Becks@nasa.gov or via facsimile at (301) 286-9159 by 12:00pm EST,June 16, 2011.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 12:00pm EST on June16, 2011. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose ofdetermining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. It is thequoters responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments. Potentialquoters will be responsible for downloading their own copy of this notice.A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the Government.Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An ombudsman has been appointed.
