- Description
- The Department of Transportation, Federal Railroad Administration, Office of Acquisition and Grants intends to award a sole source bridge Purchase Order for system administrator support services under the authority of FAR Part 13.106-1(b), "Soliciting from a single source" using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This bridge is necessary to allow time to formally compete this requirement. The purchase order for system administrator support services will be provided by the current contractor, Myriad Solutions, Inc 16843 Harbour Town Drive Silver Spring, MD 20905. Myriad Solutions is a Small Business concern. The current contractor provides system administrator support for the FRA's contract writing system (PRISM) and interfacing government-wide applications. Support generally includes troubleshooting; patch installation for upgrades; testing; training; and generating adhoc reports, etc. Full functionality of the contract writing system is critical to maintain procurement operations through fiscal year end. This bridge is necessary to ensure that the FRA does not experience unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency procurement requirements. The FRA intends to award a bridge purchase order with a base period of seven (6) months. The NAICS code for this requirement is 541513 Computer Facilities Management Services and the Size Standard is $25.0 million. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. A Request for Quotation (RFQ) package is not available. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. The FRA will not be responsible for any costs incurred by an interested party responding to this notice. This notice in no way obligates the Government to award a Purchase Order.
