- The purpose of this announcement is to make notice that the Forest Service contemplates releasing a solicitation numbered AG-046W-S-11-0025 on or about June 27, 2011 for the Hood River Ranger Station Visitor's Information Services Portal project. Interested offerors should visit this FedBizOpps website on or after June 27, 2011 to obtain a copy of the solicitation. The solicitation will not be posted prior to June 27, 2011. This notice meets the requirements of FAR 5.201, however, the Forest Service reserves the right to not release a solicitation. PROJECT DESCRIPTION : The Hood River Ranger Station Visitor's Information Services Portal project consists of remodeling approximately 1140 square feet of an office building and adding approximately 500 square feet to the building. The site work includes, but is not limited to, removal of existing vegetation, pavement, and general site preparation. Remodel work includes, but is not limited to, partial demolition of an outer wall and interior walls of the building. New construction will consist of concrete foundations, lumber walls, heavy timbered roof, reception desk and interpretive displays. The new construction will also include the installation of electrical, HVAC, security, lighting, and telecommunication/data systems. Bid option items include 1) reconfiguring the northeast employee entrance; 2) construction of asphalt parking stalls; 3) construction of aggregate parking stalls; and 4) supply and install a prefabricated concrete restroom structure. Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment, tools, transportation and supplies, and perform all work required in accordance with drawings and specifications of the contract. PROJECT LOCATION : The project is located on the Hood River Ranger District of the Mt. Hood National Forest. Project site is located at 6780 Highway 35, Parkdale, OR. SOLICITATION DETAILS : The following preliminary details are provided for the benefit of prospective offerors, but are subject to change in the actual solicitation. Price range is between $250,000 and $500,000. Contract type: Firm fixed-price. Period of Performance: 180 calendar days after issuance of Notice to Proceed. Solicitation type: Request for Proposal Bonding Requirement: Bid Bond (20%) submitted with proposal; Performance and Payment Bonds (100% each) submitted after award of contract. PARTICIPATION : This project is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible and Small Business Administration certified small business concerns may submit an offer which will be considered.
