Description
The Airborne Instrumentation Systems (Code 52J000D) Division at Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division (NAWCWD), China Lake, CA is seeking sources for Telemetry (TM)/Global Positioning System (GPS) Antenna for the Aim-9X Weapons System to determine the availability of a product that can meet the Government's requirement. In addition to searching the market for qualified vendors, the results of the sources sought will be utilized to determine if any Small Business Set-Aside opportunities exist. All Small Business Set-Aside categories will be considered. The Government requests that all companies, both Large and Small, submit their business size by North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code. If your company is a Small Business, please specify if your company is or is not each of the following: (a) Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB); (b) HUBZone Small Business; (c) 8(a) Concern; (d) Woman-Owned Small Business; (e) Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned Small Business to the Governments Contract Specialist Scott Hansen (contact information listed below) by 30 June 2011 12:00 p.m/ PST. The TM/GPS Antenna will be used in the AIM-9X AN/DKT-89 Secure Telemetry System. The antenna consists of a transmitting TM antenna and a receiving GPS antenna. The TM operates in the 2200-2290 MHz band and the GPS antenna operates in the 1573-1577 MHz band. The GPS antenna array also contains a Low Noise Amplifier (LNA), Limiter, and Filter integrated into the antenna substrate, making the antenna very unique. To receive the Draft of Performance Specification for the TM/GPS Antenna please email (preferred) the NAWCWD Point of Contact (POC) Scott Kujiraoka at scott.kujiraoka@navy.mil or contact by telephone at (805) 898-8101. No requests for the Draft of Performance Specification GPS/TM Antenna will be accepted after close of business on 30 June 2011. Prior to award of any contract, documentation of a qualified product must be submitted. All qualifying documentation of the TM/GPS antenna will need to be sent to NAWCWD POC Scott Kujiraoka by email. The Government will not provide funding to perform the qualification process. The Government is considering utilization of a Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (FFP-IDIQ) three year contract with a maximum of 300 TM/GPS to be purchased (minimum of 25 units a year). Delivery of the flight qualified TM/GPS antenna will be Free On Board (F.O.B.) Destination and within 90 days After Receipt of Order (ARO). A synopsis is anticipated to be issued on or about 19 July 2011 followed by a solicitation to be issued on or about 4 August 2011. The Government estimates that an award will be made on or about 15 September 2011. DISCLAIMER: "This sources sought is for informational purposes only. This is not a request for proposal.
