- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a sole-source, fixed-price procurement with Imaging Business Machines, LLC (IBML), 2750 Crestwood Blvd., Birmingham, AL 35210 under RFQRMD1100186. This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Website (www.fedbizopps.gov). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. IBML will provide repair and maintenance services to the Records Management Division (RMD) for (4) - IT4 and IT3 High Speed Scanners and (4) - MSA Tiff Boards which are all manfacturered by IBML. Based on market research conducted and contacts made with knowledgeable individuals within the government, and the related industry, it has been determined the FBI's requirement for the referenced service and maintenance agreement can only be provided by IBML. Specifically, in order to maintain the warranty agreement for the originally procured scanners and TIFF Boards, all maintenance and service shall be performed by the manufacturer, IBML. By having services rendered by another company would void the present warranty agreement and subject the government to potentially unwarranted additional expenses. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations, however, interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities to respond to this requirement by 12:00PM (Eastern), June 21, 2011, via facsimile to the attention of: Renee L. Braun at 540-868-1473 or via email to renee.braun@ic.fbi.gov. Telephone requests will not be accepted. A determination by the Government not to compete the requirement, based on responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received, will be solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The North American Industrial Classification System Number (NAICS) is 811212 - Computer and Office Machine Maintenance. The awardee shall be registered in the Central Contractor's Database (CCR) and also the Online Representations and Certification (ORCA) at http://orca.bpn.gov.
